Inventions – from Idea to Prototype to Production

Carl TenBrink will discuss the steps and methodology of taking an idea or invention to production.

The steps will include the “Starting Point”, organizing & defining your thoughts and ideas, development of concepts to improve the visual sales appeal and ergonomics, creation 3D CAD to define dimensions and production methods, the building of a working prototype, production options and sourcing and a brief over view of marketing options.

Carl TenBrink:

Carl founded Sonos Product Development in Huntington Beach, Ca. in 1983 after returning from a year in Barcelona, Spain where he studied at the Escola Massana Art School and at the University of Barcelona. Carl TenBrink received his degree from Manchester College.

Carl TenBrink is no stranger to Inventing. Carl has a number of invention patents to his name which cover the diversity of the rich history of Sonos Product Development. There are patents for Construction Equipment, Medical Devices, Amusement Device and an Expandable Collectible and Trophy Display Case System www.showcase-Express.com the Display case System was Carl’s first patent and he has been manufacturing and  marketing the Display cases for 11 years vie an e-Commerce Website, NASCAR Illustrated, Classic Toy Trains, Model Railroader and various other trade and hobby related magazines.

Registration starts at 7:00 P.M. and the seminar starts at 7:30 P.M. and lasts about 90 minutes. Refreshments are served in the lobby at 9:00 P.M. where you can network with other inventors. Door fees are $10 for non-members and $5 for members. Parking is free.

Directions:
From I-405—exit Fairview Rd. and drive south to Merrimac Way. Turn right and drive to Lot E (5th driveway on the right). Walk to the front of the Lewis Center (large brick building). The Science Lecture Hall is just across from the Lewis Center main entrance.

From I-55 southbound—exit right onto Fair Drive westbound. At third traffic light, make a right onto Fairview Road northbound, at Merrimac Street westbound make a left turn and go to Parking Lot E.
